How To Complete Trademark Form TM1 in Namibia

Section 1: Fill in the Applicant Information

  • Name: Enter the name of the individual or entity applying for the trademark registration.
  • Address: Provide the street address and postal address of the applicant.
  • Nationality: Specify the nationality of the applicant.
  • Residence/Principal Place of Business: Enter the country where the applicant is based.

Section 2: Certification/Collective Mark

  • If the application is for a certification or collective mark, attach the rules and regulations governing its use.

Section 3: Reproduction of Mark

  • Attach three additional reproductions of the mark on a separate sheet. If the mark is in a language other than English, include a transliteration and translation.

Section 4: Fees

  • Include the required fees with the application.

Section 5: Specification of Goods/Services and Classes

  • List the goods and/or services the trademark will be used for and indicate the applicable class under the International Classification.

Section 6: Priority Declaration

  • If the applicant has previously filed an application for the same mark in another country, specify the country and the office where the application was filed.

Section 7: Additional Information (Endorsements)

  • Include any additional information relevant to the application.

Once the form is completed, sign and date it. The Power of Attorney Form should also be included and filed within one month from filing the TM 1 Form.
