UNAM Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Research Methods (33PARM)
The Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Research Methods is designed to equip students with a deep understanding of statistics and research methodology. By the end of the programme, students will have acquired the following skills and knowledge:

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for this programme, candidates must hold at least an NQF level 7 diploma or undergraduate degree from a recognized institution. Additionally, candidates must have completed a research methods module and a research project/mini-thesis, or their equivalents, as part of their NQF level 7 qualification.
Minimum Requirements for Re-admission
For re-admission into the programme, students must have successfully completed a minimum number of credits as indicated below:
- Normal Enrolment:
- 45 credits (with 29 non-core) by the end of the first year of registration
- Programme completion within a maximum of 2 years of registration
- Extended Enrolment:
- 45 credits (with 29 non-core) by the end of the first year of registration
- 90 credits (with 57 non-core) by the end of the second year of registration
- Programme completion within a maximum of 3 years of registration
Exit Level and Duration
Upon completion of the programme, students will achieve an NQF level 8 qualification. The duration of the programme is one year, and it is offered at the main campus of UNAM.
