Study Permit Requirements

According to the Immigration Control Act of 19 August 1993, all Sunshine Private College International Students are required to have a valid approved Study Permit and Visa before they can enter the institution.

Exemptions:

• Permanent Namibian residents
• Refugees or asylum seekers
• Diplomatic representatives

The mentioned categories are exempted as long as they provide the relevant documentation (Permanent Residence Permit, approved and endorsed Refugee/Political Asylum Seeker status, or a Courtesy Visa confirming diplomatic status).

Duration and Conditions:

• Study Permits will be issued for a duration of one year.
• No changes in conditions will be allowed once the Study Permit is approved for a specific program.

How to Apply For a Study Permit

To apply for a Study Permit, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration-Namibia-Website.
2. Download the application forms for the study permit.
3. Access other information and follow the provided directions.

Please note that Study Permit fees should not be paid into the University’s account.

Returning students should ensure that they renew their study permits before the endorsed study permit expires. Failure to do so may result in the student being deregistered by the University.

Registration of International Students at Sunshine Private College

Upon registration, Sunshine Private College International Students are required to submit the following documents:

1. Provisional admission letter from Sunshine Private College OR results from the previous year (for returning students).
2. Valid Passport.
3. Proof of visitor’s entry visa for registration purposes.
4. Proof of Medical Insurance.
5. Proof of Residence in Namibia (Lease Agreement).
