NSFAF Online Application Guide
The Namibia Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) has opened applications for the [year] academic year. Here’s everything you need to know to successfully complete your application.
NSFAF Online Application Period
Applications opened on 18th January [year] for:
- Undergraduates
- Postgraduates
- Vocational applicants
Applicants can apply to study at local, SADC, or internationally recognized institutions offering accredited programs.
The Deadline for NSFAF Online Applications
Important Note:
Applications will not be accepted after the deadline. Ensure all required documents are uploaded during the application period.
Eligible Institutions for Mature Age Applicants
- University of Namibia (UNAM)
- Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST)
- Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL)
Mandatory Documents
To apply, you must upload the following certified documents:
- Applicant’s Full Birth Certificate
- Namibian Identity Document (ID)
- Grade 12 or school leaving certificate
- Undergraduate qualification and transcript (Postgraduate applicants only)
- Proof of combined parental income for applicants 28 years or younger and unemployed
- Parents’ ID or death certificates (if deceased)
- Own or spousal income for applicants above 28 years or declarations if unemployed
- Proof of admission or registration for studies outside Namibia
Postgraduate NSFAF Online Application Criteria
Due to funding limitations, postgraduate applications must meet the following:
- Fields of study must be listed as priority fields on www.nsfaf.na
- Applicants should not have received more than two awards from NSFAF
- Total debt to NSFAF must not exceed N$350,000 (including the current loan)
- Proof of debt acknowledgment or repayment arrangement (if previously funded by NSFAF)
- Employment status (including self-employment) will be verified
- Funding will be limited to a pre-determined fee and subject to availability
Additional Notes
- Awards are provisional, subject to meeting NSFAF funding requirements.
- All applications must be completed online.
- Deadlines are final, with no extensions.
- Vocational Training and Education trainees must also apply online.
