How to complete the CC1 Form: Founding Statement for Business Registration in Namibia
If you plan to register a business in Namibia, you will need to complete Form CC1, also known as the Founding Statement. This document is essential for the registration process and must be completed in a specific format.
Below are some key points to consider when completing CC1 Form.
Form CC1 Writing Requirements
Form CC1 must be written in block capitals or be typewritten, lithographed or printed in legible characters with deep permanent black ink, and lodged in triplicate. Any alterations or corrections should be initialed by the signatory.
Power of Attorney
If a person signs on behalf of a member, a power of attorney must be attached to the form.
Assistance for Minor Children and Persons Under Legal Disability
Minor children and other persons under legal disability must be assisted by their parents, guardians or representatives, as the case may be, and the capacity must be stated.
Identity Document
If no identity document has been issued, a written statement to this effect must be attached.
Compliance Requirements
Form CC1 which does not comply with the requirements of the Act, regulations or these notes, will be rejected.
Particulars to be provided under the “MEMBERS” section
Under the heading “Members,” you must provide the following information:
- Full names and surname (if juristic person, mention name and capacity, and if trustee, also mention the name and particulars of the testamentary trust).
- Identity number (if no identity document has been issued, state date of birth and see par. 4 above.) (If a juristic person, mention the registration number).
- Size of interest expressed as a percentage.
- Particulars of interest and fair value thereof.
- Residential address.
- Postal address.
- Signature of member or representative (where applicable).
