How to Complete a CC9 Form for Change of the End of the Current Financial Year
If your corporation needs to change its current financial year, you will need to complete a CC9 form for Change of the End of the Current Financial Year.
Here are the steps to follow:
Step 1: Download and Print the CC9 Form
You can download the CC9 form from the Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) website. Print the form and ensure that you have two copies as the form needs to be lodged in duplicate.
Step 2: Fill in the Details of Your Corporation
Fill in the name of your corporation and its registration number in the spaces provided.
Step 3: Indicate the Current End of the Financial Year
State the current end of the financial year of your corporation in the space provided.
Step 4: Specify the New End of the Financial Year
State the new end of the financial year for your corporation. You can choose to bring it forward or extend it by not more than six months.
Step 5: Provide the Reasons for the Extension
If you have extended the financial year, provide the reasons for the extension in the space provided.
Step 6: Affix Proof of Payment
Affix proof of payment of half or annual duty if you have extended the financial year.
Step 7: Sign and Date the Form
The member or officer of the corporation should sign and date the form.
Step 8: Submit the CC9 Form
Submit the completed form to the Business and Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) office, along with the necessary fee.
