NAMCOL Certificate in Early Childhood Development (CECD) Programme in Namibia aims to provide appropriate training to ECD students to ensure that all children at the pre-school level have access to well-trained staff who offer suitable and appropriate services. Admission Requirements:
The CECD program is open to Educarers in the Industry and members of the general public who meet the following admission requirements:
- Grade 12 certificate (20 points in six subjects)
- E symbol in English OR
- Grade 10 certificate (25 points in six subjects)
- E symbol in English
- 3 years of relevant working experience

Assessment:
Assessment for the CECD program is done through assignments, examinations, and a practicum. Students will be required to complete two assignments per module, which will contribute 50% towards the final mark. An admission mark of 50% through assignment marks is required to sit for the examination in each module. Each module has one three-hour examination paper, which will contribute 50% towards the final mark. In addition, students are required to complete one practicum and end-of-semester examinations.

Duration
NAMCOL Certificate in Early Childhood Development (CECD) programme aims to provide appropriate training to ECD students so that all pre-school children in Namibia have access to well-trained staff.
