Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, applicants must have a Grade 12 certificate (20 points in six modules) with an E symbol in English and one year of relevant working experience, OR a Grade 10 certificate (25 points in six modules) with an E symbol in English and three years of relevant working experience. Grade 10 certificate holders are only considered if they have the required working experience in the Business and Entrepreneurship environment.
Programme Content
The program consists of six modules and two institutional core modules. The modules include English for General Communication, Introduction to Computer, Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Accounting, The Business Environment, Principles of Marketing, Business Plan Development, and Final Project for Certificate.
Assessment
Assessment will be done through assignments and examinations. There will be two assignments per module, with assignments contributing 50% towards the final mark. An admission mark of 50% through assignment marks is required to sit for the examination in each module. There will be one three-hour examination paper per module, with the exam mark contributing 50% towards the final mark. There will also be an end-of-semester examination.
Fee Structure for 2023
The registration fee for Semester 1 is N$2690.00, which should be paid upon registration, and the remaining amount should be settled by May 31. A once-off N$690.00 data fee is charged with registration for 10G of data each month for the whole year. The registration fee for Semester 2 is N$2000.00, which should be paid upon registration, and the remaining amount should be settled by September 30. The total cost of the program, inclusive of the compulsory N$690.00 per year data fee, is N$5 770.00.
