The steps for requesting an EasyWallet PIN
- Simply dial *140*295# on your mobile device.
- If you have already set up a EasyWallet PIN, enter it now.
- Select EasyWallet
- Choose the option to Withdraw Money.
- Click the Generate OTP (One Time Pin) button.
- You will receive an SMS with the OTP in it.
How do I withdraw money from EasyWallet?
- Visit your nearest Bank Windhoek ATM.
- Select Cardless Services on the ATM.
- Select Your Preferred Language
- Select Cash withdrawal

How does EasyWallet work?
An EasyWallet is automatically created for the mobile phone user who receives the money, irrespective of whether the recipient is a Bank Windhoek customer or a non-customer. EasyWallet holders can secure their money by setting a unique EasyWallet PIN, whilst funds remain available for as long as the user keeps his/her EasyWallet active by continuing to transact on it. EasyWallet holders can also use the money to access prepaid services and buy airtime or electricity.
EasyWallet offers the following benefits: Send a maximum of N$5 000 per day to any MTC Cellphone number, from any Bank Windhoek account via Cellphone Banking or the Mobile App services. Receive a maximum of N$5000 funds per day on any MTC Cellphone number. Keep a maximum balance of N$20 000.
How do I activate my Bank Windhoek Cellphone Banking?
- You are required to have either a savings account, a checking account, or a transaction account.
- To register for Limited Access registration, dial *140*295#
- Please visit the Bank Windhoek branch that is most convenient to you in order to register for Full Access.
- You are required to bring a valid Namibian passport or other form of Namibian identification with you when you visit the branch.
THE USE OF THE EasyWallet PIN IN A MANNER THAT HAS NOT BEEN AUTHORIZED?
If any unauthorized person obtains the EasyWallet PIN and/or Password in any manner whatsoever, such a person will be regarded as the Client’s duly authorized agent with full authority to use the Access channel on the Client’s behalf, unless the Client is able to prove that the person has obtained the EasyWallet PIN due to the Bank’s negligence or due to internal fraud in the Bank..

Any fees and costs in respect of the Access Channel will be debited to the Client’s Billing Account. For

EasyWallet DISPUTES AND RIGHTS OF CLIENT
Customers have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the Bank in the event of a dispute relating to an EasyWallet or transaction. The Duties of the Client
- The customer is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of his or her EasyWallet PIN and, where applicable, password. Because the customer’s disclosure of the EasyWallet PIN and/or password for their EasyWallet could allow an unauthorized third party access, the customer is strictly prohibited from doing so under any circumstances.
- The Customer is responsible for taking all precautions that are reasonably available to them in order to prevent unauthorized use of the Access Channel as well as unauthorized access to the Account and/or the EasyWallet Service.
- If a customer has reason to believe that their personal identification number (EasyWallet PIN) and/or password may have fallen into the wrong hands, they should follow the steps outlined in this article.
(i) You are required to make an immediate notification to the Bank. Either the bank will make an immediate change to the customer’s EasyWallet PIN, or, if appropriate, it will look into the matter.
(ii) The customer is responsible for immediately changing both the EasyWallet PIN and the password on their own. - It is imperative that the Client pay attention to the following very important responsibilities:
When the customer gives instructions to the bank to make payments, pay accounts, or transfer funds to particular beneficiaries, the customer is responsible for ensuring that the correct account number as well as the correct branch clearing code is provided in relation to the beneficiaries. If necessary, this information must be provided. At no point during the process does the bank check an account number and branch clearing code against the name of a beneficiary, and the bank makes this point abundantly clear in its records.
CELLPHONE REQUIREMENTS
- The Client must have access to a Cellphone and cellphone services
- The Client will be solely responsible for all related costs or expenses in connection with the cellphone services
- Should the cellphone requirements be modified with a view to improving or upgrading the Access Channel, the resultant costs of any new cellphone or Service Provider connection required so as to access the Access Channel will be for the Client’s own account
- In the event that the Client experience problems with the Cellphone and/or cellular network, it is the Client’s responsibility to liaise with the Network Service Provider prior to contacting with the Bank. The Bank shall not be responsible for resolving any problems experienced by the Client with its cellphone or its Network Service Provider
